Its hard to choose the best location on Phangan to rent the house...
Our island is very different. Every area and every beach have own unique charm here, and all of Phangan lovers have at least few favorite places.
Thong Sala, Baan Tai and Baan Kai its a central location and the best place for staying for many long-staying guests: close to the Thongsala with Tesco and markets, lots of bars and restaurants around working until late (some 24 hours), good roads to most of destinations, no problems with water and electricity.
Chaloklum becaming more and more popular every year for families with children, thank to the long sandy beach and line of the beach-front bars and restaurants. Also it is easy to reach Bottle beach by boat-taxi from here.
Hing Kong, Nai Wok, Wok Tum and Srithanu areas have good choice of houses for rent, both fan & air-conditioned. It is sunset part of the island, and sunsets there are amazing!
Haad Yao, Chao Phao, Haad Salad and Mae Haad - its not a lots of houses in that areas, so most of people staying in resort's bungalows.
Thong Nai Pan and other eastern beaches, including Haad Rin are remote from other side of island, and road is still partially dirty (except Haad Rin - road is good & concrete). Its just few house rental options here.
